Journalists from the major daily and weekend newspapers have been referred by the RICS Press Office to Roy for comment on various housing and general building matters. Quotations have been included recently in The Times, Sunday Times, Telegraph, Guardian, Observer, and Mail on Sunday.

Regular contributions are made to Period Living, an on-going series covering the maintenance and alteration of older quality properties..

Roy has been involved with several live and recorded radio programmes, including You and Yours for Radio 4 and Southern Counties Radio. This exposure included a 1 hour session with Talk Radio as an honorary "scambuster for the hour"..

A GMTV programme went out recently on a suspect double glazing company and he has also appeared on "World in Action" and "House of Horrors", the series for Granada TV on cowboy builders which was considered to be a major contributory to the Government's decision to move forward with legislation to control and regularise these tradesmen who take advantage of gullible house owners..

In 2007 Roy worked with BBC Rogue Traders to expose roofing contractors in Oxford. Other news and current affairs programmes have included comments and pieces from Roy.

Roy has also lectured for the RICS and EWI on Expert Witness, Dilapidations and various technical matters.
